Excellent company, they've done a full rewire of our house. Ryan is easy to deal with, done a good job, has sorted any snags that came up even when caused by someone else, good price and would happily use again.

Louise Ferguson

I had a full rewire on a terraced house, managed to fit me in pretty quickly, was very helpful and good customer service.

Warning signs

Does your house need a rewire?

Older wiring doesn't always fail dramatically — it quietly degrades behind the walls. These are the signs we see every week in homes across Derbyshire. If any of them sound familiar, it's worth getting it surveyed before it becomes a fault or a fire.

Old fuse board, no RCD protection

If your consumer unit still uses rewireable fuses and has no RCD trip, it won't cut the power fast enough to stop a shock or fire.

Rubber or lead-sheathed cabling

Older rubber and lead-sheathed cable degrades over time — the insulation goes brittle and cracks, leaving live conductors exposed behind your walls.

Scorch marks or warm sockets

Discoloured or warm switches and sockets are a clear sign of overheating connections. Switch them off and don't use them until they've been checked.

Lights flickering, fuses tripping

Flickering or dimming lights and fuses that keep blowing mean the wiring is overloaded or failing — the system asking for help, not a nuisance to ignore.

Not enough sockets

Relying on daisy-chained extension leads and overloaded adaptors is one of the most common causes of house fires in older properties.

Wiring 25–30+ years old

Electrical installations are designed to last around 25–30 years. If yours is older and has never been upgraded, it's due a full inspection at the very least.

Buying or renovating an older property

The best time to rewire is before you move in or decorate. Get the wiring surveyed first so you can plan chasing and redecoration around it.

Why rewire

A rewire is an investment in safety and headroom

Done properly, a full rewire makes the house safer today and brings the installation up to current standards — with the capacity to add the low-carbon tech you'll want tomorrow.

Safety first

Modern PVC cabling and RCD protection dramatically cut the risk of electric shock, fire and damaged appliances in your home.

Compliance & certification

Every rewire is signed off with a completion certificate and tested to the current wiring regulations — what solicitors and buyers ask for.

Capacity for modern living

A new consumer unit and ring circuits give you the spare capacity to run modern appliances without tripping — and a solid base to build on later.

Ready for heat pumps & solar

Future-proofed wiring makes it straightforward to add a heat pump, solar PV or an EV charger later without another full upgrade.

EV-charger ready

A properly sized supply and dedicated circuit means you can fit a home EV charge point when you're ready, with no nasty surprises.

Adds value to the home

A certified, up-to-date installation is a real selling point — buyers and surveyors see a safe, modern electrical system rather than a bill waiting to happen.

How it works

From first enquiry to a finished, certified rewire

A clear, fixed-price process with no surprises. We keep chasing to the shortest routes, dust-sheet everything, and restore power each evening so the home can stay occupied throughout.

Tell us about your home

Answer a few short questions about your property, its age and what you need.

02

Free survey & fixed quote

We come out, inspect the wiring and consumer unit, and give you a clear, itemised fixed written quote — not a vague estimate.

03

Scheduled works

We agree dates and work room by room with minimal disruption. Chasing is kept to the shortest routes and dust-sheeted throughout. Power is restored each evening so you can stay in the home.

04

Testing & completion

Every circuit is dead-tested and live-tested for insulation resistance, polarity, earth continuity and correct RCD operation. You receive an Electrical Installation Certificate and a tidy finish.

Can you stay in the home? Yes — we work room by room and restore power to the rest of the house each evening, so the property can remain occupied throughout the rewire.
